3 year old proven natural colored ram (registered): Duncan (SZ Duncan), our favorite ram, is available for sale. We would love to keep him but are refocusing our conservation efforts on pure white Leicester Longwools. He is a polite, manly man and loves his girls. He is 3 years old and has sired lambs for us since he was a ram lamb. Our rams were shorn the last week of April 2015 and he gave just over a 12# fleece (lightly skirted). The raw, heavily skirted but unwashed fleece sold for $18 a pound at the 2015 Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival. All our sheep are coated year-round so his fleece is almost completely free of vegetable matter. He is a big doll baby and we would love to keep him if we could.
Our flock has tested OPP negative and we have verified that Duncan is RR at codon 171. All our sheep enjoy pasture and certified organic hay, supplemented occasionally with certified organic sheep feed. We are located near Madison, Wisconsin but will be traveling to West Virginia so transportation along that route may be available in July for a fee.
2 year old proven white ram (registered): DJ (MJB Duncan of Lost Creek) is a 2 year old white ram with a great disposition, beautiful white, curly fleece and good body condition. We are keeping several of his sisters so we need to find him a new home. He produced several lambs for us this year and has really matured into a nice ram.
